You must apply for rights owner status in order to submit copyright infringement allegations; instructions for this and the associated processes have been split into the following sections.
If you have any questions about the rights owner copyright process please E-mail copyright@actrix.co.nz.

Apply for Rights Owner Status

To apply for rights owner status please contact us via copyright@actrix.co.nz to set up a rights owner account (Note: You are required to provide current New Zealand contact details).

Once a rights owner account has been created we will send an E-mail confirming your account details and unique rights owner identification key.

Submission & Payment Process

To submit a copyright infringement allegation please go to https://ace.actrix.co.nz/report/ and complete all of the required details, the following process will then apply:
  1. An E-mail confirming receipt of your allegation will be sent to the rights owner contact E-mail address, this will include a unique reference number for this allegation for future reference.
  2. An invoice for $25 +GST will be added to your rights owner account.
  3. The infringement allegation will be processed and any infringement notices will be put in a pending state.
  4. Once the invoice for a specific infringement allegation is paid any relevant infringement notices will be sent. (Note: Payment must be made within three business days of the infringement allegation submission in order for a notice to be sent within the seven day period required by the Copyright Act.)
  5. If an infringement allegation results in an enforcement notice an E-mail will be sent to the rights owner contact E-mail address notifying them of this.
Infringement Challenge Process

If an account holder challenges a copyright infringement notice the details of this challenge (excluding the account holder information) will be sent to the relevant rights owners contact E-mail address.

The rights owner can accept or reject the challenge by using the unique URL provided in the challenge notification E-mail and completing the required information.

A copyright infringement notice challenge must be responded to within 28 days of the infringement notice being sent. If no response is received within this time period the challenge is deemed accepted and any associated infringement notice is withdrawn.
