CyberScan Biz is a way for Actrix to provide Virus and Spam protection for you when you have your own mail server. The main benefits are less load on your server, and less traffic on your Internet connection which should equate to less cost.

Everything starts with a list of 'approved' e-mail addresses, anything going to an address not on that list is bounced. The remaining e-mails are put through our virus and spam filters. Viruses and those messages that are above a certain level of spam are deleted.

Any messages that look like spam, but that we aren't quite sure about are tagged and passed to your server. You can then decide if you want to put them into a 'Spam' folder or just delete them (these are the ones that usually end up in your 'Spam' folder if you have an Actrix e-mailbox).

The remaining legitimate e-mail is passed on to your e-mail server.

Although the process sounds complicated, it all happens very quickly behind the scenes so you can just get on with running your business.
